Another academic year has come to an end. This year, we held four IT courses in Tashkent, organized practical training for students in Voronezh, and are also launching an internship program in Portugal.

For 15 years, DSR Training Center has been helping students build their careers in IT. For the past five years, our educational programs have also been available to students in Tashkent.

Here are some of the key numbers from the past academic year:

• 1,200+ applications from 20+ countries;
• 70 students passed the entrance testing and started learning;
• 48 graduates successfully completed the courses;
• 2 graduates joined the DSR team.

In Tashkent, we held courses in Embedded Systems, Frontend, Application QA and Embedded QA.

Embedded Systems Lab

The Embedded Systems Lab ran for two semesters, from October to April. During the course, students went through the full embedded software development cycle — from working with microcontrollers to creating their own BLE applications.

Akbar Karimov, has graduated from two of our courses: the ESL and the JS Bootcamp. He heard about the embedded course from his university professor and decided not to miss the opportunity:

“I really enjoyed this course. It was comprehensive, engaging, and interesting. It introduced me to the world of IoT, helped me write my first code, and gave me hands-on experience that I was later able to apply to my university graduation project. If you want to dive deeper into IoT and embedded systems, I would definitely recommend this course as a starting point.

My university graduation project was a tracking device similar to an AirTag, combining BLE and GPS with a Telegram bot for interaction. I was able to apply the fundamentals I learned during the course to designing, programming, and assembling the device. This hands-on experience helped me successfully complete and defend my graduation project.”

JS Bootcamp: Deep Dive into React

During the JS Bootcamp, which ran from February to May, students learned React and TypeScript with the support of personal mentors. At the end of the program, they developed their own projects using a modern technology stack.

Sitora Tuychieva, one of the graduates, shared her experience:

“The assignments were genuinely engaging, and the mentor-led review sessions where we walked through our solutions together were incredibly valuable. It’s highly practical — you learn by doing, not just reading theory. The course combines self-paced learning materials with hands-on assignments. Mentors are available whenever you have questions, which makes the whole process feel well-supported.”

QA School: Application

The QA Application course ran from September to December and successfully graduated 7 students. Throughout the program, students covered the fundamentals of software testing, test design techniques, test documentation, manual testing of web applications, bug reporting, and test management.

The course allowed students to gain valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of a Senior QA Engineer. By the end of the program, graduates had developed the practical skills and knowledge needed to take on a QA Engineer role and contribute to real-world projects.

QA School: Embedded

We also launched a unique course dedicated to Embedded QA. The intensive program ran for one month, from March to April, and introduced students to the specifics of testing embedded systems, smart devices, and IoT solutions.

During the course, students worked closely with a mentor, gaining hands-on experience and receiving valuable guidance. Eight students successfully completed the program, and two of the graduates have already joined the DSR team!

Here’s what Diyora Yusupova, one of our graduates, had to say about her experience:

“For me, the most valuable part of the course was understanding the real QA workflow, from writing test cases to bug reporting and verification. I realized how important it is to describe bugs clearly and provide structured information, since even small details can significantly affect the debugging process.

I really appreciated how supportive and responsive the mentors were, they were always ready to answer even the smallest questions. The most challenging part for me was learning to structure test cases correctly and work with bug statuses, especially without a technical background, but that made the practice all the more valuable.

My advice to future students: pay close attention to details, don’t hesitate to ask questions, and try to understand the logic behind each task rather than just completing it. I’m already applying everything I learned about test case design, bug reporting, and verification in my current role.”

Dilzoda Azimova, who also completed the course, shared her experience:

“The curriculum was incredibly practical, meaning every task we executed during the program directly translates to the responsibilities we will face on the job. It completely bridged the gap between learning and doing.

The mentors were exceptionally helpful and truly shaped the entire program. They created a welcoming environment that made the learning experience comfortable and significantly less stressful, allowing us to focus entirely on building our skills without unnecessary pressure.

My advice to new students is to always ask questions and seek clarifications whenever you are unsure. Remember that the assignments are not designed to fail you, but rather to push you to learn. The mentors are there to guide your progress and support you, not to act as strict examiners.’’

How can you join DSR’s courses?

A new enrollment cycle for our courses begins at the start of each academic year.

All programs are completely free of charge and give students an opportunity to gain practical, in-demand knowledge and skills under the guidance of experienced Senior Engineers.

The best-performing graduates are invited to an interview, while their interview results and resumes are kept in the company’s HR database. If a suitable position matching their profile becomes available in the future, we will contact them first.
